How often should I get my carpets cleaned?
Most carpet manufacturers recommend having your carpets professionally cleaned every 12-18 months. Other factors such as heavy use, children, pets and even weather should be taken into consideration for more frequent cleanings.

How long will it take for my carpeting to dry?
Factors such as temperature, humidity and air circulation will determine how quickly your carpets will dry after having them cleaned. Generally you can expect your carpeting to be sock dry in about 3-4 hours. Complete drying time may take up to 24-hours. We do offer our customers the option of us using air movers to speed the drying process for no additional charge. Depending on the length of our visit to your home, we can have 1 or 2 rooms ready for use by the time we have completed our other work. Please let us know when you book your appointment if this is of interest to you.

What method of carpet cleaning do you use?
We use hot water extraction, better known as steam cleaning to clean your carpeting. This process injects a high pressure, high temperature cleaning or rinse solution deep into your carpet and then is extracted with our powerful vacuum from our truck-mounted cleaning unit. Most carpet manufacturers recommend this method when having your carpets professionally cleaned.

Do I really need to have a carpet protector applied to my carpeting?
We highly recommend the application of carpet protectors after having your carpeting professionally cleaned. These protectors repel staining liquids, giving you time to blot the spill before it gets deep into the carpet fibers and possibly creating a permanent stain. It also provides protection against soiling by providing a barrier on the carpet fibers to help keep soils from attaching to the fibers. This helps carpets stay cleaner longer with regular vacuuming.

What can I do to keep my carpets looking great?
The single most important thing is to vacuum regularly and thoroughly. Todays carpeting is designed to hide soil particles by reflecting light and they do an excellent job of it. However, soil particles that are left in the carpet and not removed by vacuuming can damage the carpet fibers and result in a soiled or dull contrast after time. Carpet protectants such as Scotchgard will help keep your carpet from soiling rapidly and extend the life of your carpet investment. Door mats at each entrance also significantly reduce soil tracked into the main living areas of your home. Clean up spills promptly to avoid them from becoming permanent stains. And of course regular professional cleaning will keep your carpets looking great for many years to come.
